5. Databases
They are also the most important feature of cellular technology. Home Location Register (HLR) and Visitor Location Register (VLR) are the two main databases used.
HLR is the database that contains the data of those subscribers that reside in the same city as MSC. The VLR provisionally stores the information for each visiting subscriber in the coverage area of a MSC.
The VLR is actually the database that supports roaming capability.

6. Security mechanism
This mechanism helps the subscriber to access the particular network and also to validate the billing for him.
The databases used for security mechanism are the Equipment Identify Register (EIR) and Authentication Center (AuC).
The EIR is the register that identifies stolen or fraudulently altered phones that convey identity data that does not match with information contained in either the HLR or VLR.
The AuC administers the actual encryption and confirmation of each subscriber.

6. If you have the Philips VHS lamps then you do not have to worry about the defects and they are usually used in home theater lighting, digital projection lighting thus useful in saving power.
7. Most of the DLP and LCD projections systems use Philips as their OEM but here the generic projection lamps are not preferred.
8. Philips has worked in tandem with multiple television manufacturers to develop the best lamp drivers with the best lamps. Lamps must not only be compatible with the lamp driver, but work as one unit, something you won’t get with off-brands, or third-party manufacturers.
9. An OEM lamp will never fail prematurely, and will always be the best choice because it’s designed to be 100% compatible with your lamp driver, or ballast. But the same problems will appear in generic lamps.

Thus these generic projection lamps are not at all the preferred lamps because of their low quality and low luminosity, poor lifespan and premature implosions. These generic lamps though are inexpensive on your pocket but lack in quality. So it is always preferred to use the original, high quality made lamps from OEM or Philips brands.
